Angela McDonnell Profile 2024

These feelings might stem from a crisis, a significant life event, or the build-up of stress or difficult past experiences that continue to affect you now.

If you feel stuck, confused, or dissatisfied with your life, or you just know you want 'more' from life and from yourself, working with  me can help you to move on from your struggles, grow beyond trauma, expand your resources, connect with your strengths, and gain clarity and confidence moving forwards.

I truly believe everyone would benefit from counselling at least once in their life.

We all experience times in our lives when we feel low or struggle to cope

Making the decision to begin therapy is a positive step towards creating a more connected, purposeful, and empowered life

Therapy Session

Forward Focus

Reflect, Plan, and Progress

When we have got a lot of 'what was in the way' out of the way' our work may lean toward the question 'what next'.

Drawing on therapeutic coaching and positive psychology, I can support you to   identify, claim and move towards the inner and outer changes that you really want for yourself.

Together we can reflect on progress, refine and set goals, intentions, visions, plans and next steps.

The Bright Side of Therapy

You might imagine that sessions are always 'heavy' or 'difficult' but that isn't always the case. As you might expect, counselling does offer a space to explore what is difficult and troubling, your traumas, fears, and worries; however it is also a space to celebrate your wins, recognise your strengths, and nurture your talents.

As well as the possibility of releasing tears, there is also the possibility of laughter, and uplifting connection.

  • How long is a therapy session?
Sessions are usually 50 minutes long. Unless otherwise requested I will offer you a 50-minute session/s. A longer session of 75 minutes is available if you are bringing something particularly big or if you just need a little longer.
  • How long should I commit to therapy?
The duration of therapy depends on your personal needs, goals, and budget. Ultimately, the decision is yours. Some clients attend therapy for short-term work which would be between 6 to 8 sessions. Others opt for mid-term work, which would fall within an average of 12 to 16 sessions. Many clients find value in extended support, continuing for over a year to work more deeply and extensively.
  • What are the fees?
£55 for 50 minutes (regular) £80 for 75 minutes (extended by request)
  • How can I pay for my session?
Payment can be made via bank transfer or PayPal in advance of the session. I’m also open to exploring other online payment options that may suit you better.
