Most of us have times in our lives when we feel low or struggle to cope. This may be due to a crisis, a particular life event, an accumulation of stress or difficult past experiences which are still affecting you now.

However, you don’t have to be in crisis to seek counselling, it can also be useful if you feeling stuck, confused, or unfulfilled in your life, or if you would simply like to work on your personal development, or reconnect with your strengths and resources.

Making the decision to come for counselling is not a sign of failure, but a positive step toward creating a happier life for yourself.

Empowering you to live life your way...

The principle that guides my practice is the understanding that you have the potential and ability to heal, grow, and  to make the right choices for yourself.

I hold that vision for you

With that in mind, I will not tell you what to do or what path to take. I believe this would take the power away from you.

Instead, I will support you to gain new perspectives, insights, and self-awareness so that you find the answers, solutions, and next steps for yourself.

So you can walk your path, your way, at your own pace.

What happens in a counselling session ?

You might imagine that sessions are always 'heavy' or 'difficult'... but that isn't always the case.

As you might expect our time together is a space to explore what is difficult and troubling and it is also a space to celebrate your wins, recognise your strengths, and nurture your talents.

As well as the possibility of releasing tears, there is also the possibility of laughter, and uplifting connection.

How do I work?

The three cornerstones of my work are, talk therapy, creative arts, and body-oriented awareness.

As well as exploring through words, stories, and feelings, you may also find yourself doodling, journaling, experimenting with creative invitations, visualisations, EFT tapping, mindfulness, body-oriented awareness... and more.

When you reach out, I will respond by offering you a free 15-minute (or so) initial chat. This will be your opportunity to share a bit about yourself and what your hopes are for us working together. If after meeting one another you and I would like to go ahead, we will discuss booking your first session/s.
